a.We use the formula:
A=P(1+r/100)^n
where
A=future value
P=present value
r=rate of interest
n=time period.

4500=2000*(1+r/100)^11

(4500/2000)^(1/11)=(1+r/100)

(1+r/100)=1.0765

r=1.0765-1

=7.65%(Approx).

2.Present value of annuity due=Present value of annuity*(1+rate)

=6600*1.11

=$7326

3.Value after year 2=(D2*Growth rate)/(Discount rate-Growth rate)

=(0.8*1.12)/(0.14-0.12)

=44.8

Hence current price=Future dividend and value*Present value of discounting factor(rate%,time period)

=0.8/1.14^2+44.8/1.14^2

=$35.09(Approx).

4.Average monthly return=Total return/Total time period

=(1.8-2.6+4.8+4.3+2.5)/5

=2.16%
