Answer #1

The most of Maritime piracy in relation with Cargo theft happen because of dishonest employees who provide information to strangers in order to gain profit from the theft. the short term solution is to provide information of cargo to only those employees who are working for many years as well as trust worthy. this means information about cargo should be given to authorized personnel, no one else. also try to give multiple information so that employees who are not trust worthy get confused that which information is true like cargo would go to south or west to which destination etc. This solution is very easy, fast as well as not involve any cost. When information is not out in hand of people doing theft then

The Long term solution is partnering with law enforcement agencies who would help to secure your cargos safely to the destination. Company can do search for security or law encforcement agencies in areas where its cargo are shipped . they will help to provide protection to cargo. this method is expensive because company would have to pay for all the protection they would get from those agencies.

second solution is to implement high end technology like bio metric security on Cargo to lock and enter. this technology will only give access to cargo to authorized person. if any one tries to do unauthorized access then it would alert the company instantly. also put cameras and survillence on ships of cargo.
