d. enthalpy (kj/kg)
e. condensation temperature (C)

If air is in the room 162 m³, determine:
f. air weight (dry air and water vapor)
g. the amount of the water in the room (kg)

THE PROPERTIES CAN BE SEEN DIRECTLY FROM CHART:

STEPS:

1) On the psychrometric chart locate value 48o C on the DB temperature scale located at the bottom of the chart.

2) Locate WB temperature of 29oC on the saturation curve scale.

3) Extend the vertical line (constant DB temperature line) from 48o and the diagonal line (constant WB temperature line) from 29oC and get the point of intersection of the two lines, which indicates the condition of the given air.

4) Find out the values of various parameters at this point. The relative humidity line passing though this point indicates RH of almost 24.90%. The specific volume of this air is almost .936 mt3/Kg and the enthalpy of air is almost 93.914 Kj/Kg.

PART A. RELATIVE AIR HUMIDITY:

The RH lines are the curves extending from the lower left to the upper right part of the psychrometric chart.

The relative humidity line passing though this point indicates RH of almost 24.90%.

PART B. WATER CONTENT: (HUMIDITY RATIO):

THE HORIZONTAL LINE PASSING THROUGH OUT POINT OF INTEREST CUTS THE HUMIDITY RATIO LINE AT 0.017635 Kg water / Kg dry air.

PART C. SPECIFIC VOLUME:

The constant specific volume lines start from the saturation curve and drop down with the slight angle to the vertical lines.

The specific volume of this air is almost 0.936 mt3/Kg

PART D. ENTHALPY:

The total enthalpy of the air comprises of the sensible heat and the latent heat. The enthalpy scale in the psychrometric chart is located outside the main body. The constant enthalpy lines extend from the enthalpy scale down toward the right side of the chart. the enthalpy of air is almost 93.914 Kj/Kg.
