Peak Petro, LLC is a small,oil-field company. They maintain a fleet of various trucks to service their oil wells. These trucks need regular maintenance and also unscheduled repair when something breaks.Any of the drivers can report back to the office when their truck needs repair. Whoever is in the office at the time writes the details down on paper: which truck, who reported, what they reported and the date/time. All of these reports are put on a bulletin board for assignment. The problems can be assigned to a given mechanic, or anyone who doesn’t have a current truck to work on could work on any given problem. Each time they learn something, make progress or need to order parts it is written on the paper so that others know the status.The head mechanic would like a report for all open problems, plus how many problems have been closed in the past 30 days. The owner would also like multiple reports such as a tally of problems,also problems by vehicle make.You have been hired to create an electronic information system to replace the paper-based system.This is fleet maintenance software. You are to track problems and to which mechanic those problems are assigned. It is possible not all of the information you need is going to be included in this narrative.
