What is the source of the Earth’s magnetic field in regard to dynamo theory, inner core, outer core, convection, and rotation?
Who discovered the Earth’s magnetic field periodic reversals and How did they discover it?
What is the current best theory of its cause?
How does the magnetosphere interact with charged particles in the solar wind?
What happens to a planet without a planetary magnetic field, like Mars?
As we know, wherever we are moving on the earth's surface, the neddle of the magnetic compass always points towards the
north, it is happening because earth have a magnetic field.
To identified this magnetic field, scientists gave theory called the dynamo theory of earth's magnetic field.
As we know in the earth's core, is made of two layer, majorly iron and nickle. The inner core is solid and the outer core is made of liquid iron and nickle metal. When the earth rotate, due to which the liquid metal also move inside the core, and metal have a large number of free electron, due to motion of the electron, current starts to generate inside the core, As we know moving electron can produce magnetic field.
Hence earth getting magnetize.
