A vector is a quantity which has both the magnitude and dorection. So if we need to measure an entity which is a vector we need two tyoe of information. The magnitude and the direction.

Like if we want to measure force we need magnitude of force like 10N, 20N and then we need direction like force is in x direction or y direction.
