Answer #1
The Kinetic energy is given by :K.E= 1/2 (mv2)(a) If the K.E is tripled :Increasedvelocityv2= √3 vhence it increases√3 times.(b) If the speed is doubled :Increasein K.E E2 = 4 E1hence it increases 4 timeshope this helps u!

Answer #3
1) If the KE of an arrow is tripled, by what factor has its speedincreased?
Ans: 3*KE = 1/2 * m * 3 * v^2 or 1/2 * m * √3v *√3v
Looks like speed is increased by √3 = 1.73

2)If the speed is tripled, by what factor does its KE increase?
Ans: KE =1/2 * m * (2v)^2 = 1/2 * m * 2^2 * v^2
= 4 * (1/2 * m * v^2)
KE is increased by 4 times
