(A)In the figure A,first atomic diagram is representing element carbon.Cabon have atomic no. 6.So,electron per shell for carbon is 2,4.Four valence electron is present in its outermost shell.Second atomic diagram in fig(A) represent oxygen.Atomic no. of oxygen is 8.So it have 6 valence electron in its outermost shell.Both of them want to complete their valence shell.Carbon and oxygen bond is covalent bond.They form double bond between them to complete their octet by sharing electrons.But after sharing still their octet is not completed and carbon have 5 and oxygen have 7 electrons.So,to complete their octet they form triple bond.they form carbon monoxide(CO).
