The tail of the earth's magnetic field is stretched by the solar wind. The north field remains pointing away from the earth and the south field pointing toward the earth. The magnetic field at that distance has a magnetic flux density value near 0.25. Gauss. Space is the same medium on both sides of the magnetic field, but fields cannot exist in that way without a current sheet. If the sheet is infinite, use the correct formulas to determine the magnitude of the current density.
