a.Ethical considerations

Ethics are certain morally valid principles that a person refers & utilises while engaging himself in various activities .Incidentally that defines him as a person as also his character, conduct and behaviour-- all of which identify him to the world at large.

That said,

doing this way, habitually & knowingly is certainly an unethical and improper behaviour.

Tabitha had been given the responsibility only to take advantage of the discounts as offered for early payment of trade bills --so that the company's credit rating is maintained , as a long-run exercise.

What has been suggested by Pete , if followed , is certain to spell doom to the company,in no distant future.

The suppliers will sense this recurring behaviour and will react & protest at some point of time.

b.Mainly the suppliers will be affected adversely ,denied usage of their rightful amount, that too, after offering discounts , to have access to lesser amounts, quite early, instead of waiting.

Their working capital position will also be affected by these dealys --consequently, their subsequent products may suffer in quality.

They may lose reliability on this company & may become complacent or even disrespectful, even though they may not oppose openly.

Sooner or later, they may get to know the same things happening to their peer-suppliers of this company , and word may spread & they may join hands to expose the ulterior motives of this wantonly-delaying company.
