STACK Data Structure using JAVA
1. In a FILO structure, elements are processed in reverse order, in which they arrive. Suppose during execution, an element of the stack becomes least important in terms of priority and has to be but at the bottom of the stack.
Method Signature: public void decreasePriority(<AnyType> el)
Write an operator that places a certain element of the stack at the bottom of the stack.
public java.util.Stack;
public class StackProgram<AnyType>
{
private Stack<AnyType> stack;
public StackProgram()
{
stack = new
Stack<AnyType>();
}
// method that places a certain element of the stack
at the bottom of the stack
public void decreasePriority(AnyType el)
{
Stack<AnyType> tempStack =
new Stack<AnyType>(); // create a new stack
// push all elements of stack to
tempStack except element el
while(!stack.isEmpty()
{
if(!stack.peek().equal(el))
tempStack.push(stack.pop());
}
stack.push(el); //push el at the
bottom of the stack
// push the rest of the elements to
stack
while(!tempStack.isEmpty())
stack.push(tempStack.pop());
}
}

There is a data structure called a drop-out stack that behaves like a stack in every respect except that if the stack size is n, then when the n+1element is pushed, the bottom element is lost. Implement a drop-out stack using links, by modifying the LinkedStack code. (size, n, is provided by the constructor. Request: Please create a separate driver class, in a different file, that tests on different types of entries and show result of the tests done on...
Recursively sorting an unbounded stack (java) in ascending order? (This assignment is only limited to stacks only, No other data structures are allowed) My professor gave us a hint on how to implement this, however she wants the comparable interface to be used. im not sure on how to do this. Hint: May want to use a public method that accepts the original stack and then creates the two additional stacks needed. This method then calls a private method that...
In java Write a method public void printReverse() that prints the elements of a doubly linked list in reverse. Write a method public void delete5FromTheEnd() which deletes the 5th element from end of the list. Note that if you reach the end then you have to reverse the direction of counting. In the main() method of the test class, create a randomly generated Doubly-Linked list of 10 Integers. Next, call the delete5FromTheEnd() method and print the lists iteratively until the...

JUnit5 JAVA. Need help to make a unit test of my GenericStack.java code below. Feel free to change the code below to fit the task better. thanks :) Assigment Create a new version of GenericStack (Have started on the code below) that uses an array instead of an ArrayList (this version should also be generic). Be sure to check the size of the array before adding a new item; - if the array becomes full, double the size of the...
In C++ Implement a queue data structure using two stacks. Remember a queue has enqueue and dequeue functions. You could use either the array or linked list implementation for stacks and queues. Source for stack array: --------------------------------------------------- #include<iostream> #define SIZE 100 #define NO_ELEMENT -999999 using namespace std; class Stack { int arr[SIZE]; // array to store Stack elements int top; public: Stack() { top = -1; } void push(int); // push an element into Stack int pop(); // pop the...
Review the Stack implementation with Vector, and
implement/answer the following methods.
Stack One of the principles of good programming is to reuse existing code whenever practical. If you can reuse existing code, you don't need to spend the time to rewrite it. Code used previously has also been debugged, and will likely contain fewer errors. One of the easiest ways to create a container is to leverage an existing data type to build a new abstraction. In this lesson we...
Using Java coding, complete the following: This program should implement a LinkedList data structure to handle the management of student records. It will need to be able to store any number of students, using a Linked List. LinearNode.java can be used to aid creating this program Student should be a class defined with the following: • String name • int year • A linked list of college classes (college classes are represented using strings) • An...
In c++ Section 1. Stack ADT – Overview Data Items The data items in a stack are of generic DataType. This means use should use templating and your Node class. Structure The stack data items are linearly ordered from the most recently added (the top) to the least recently added (the bottom). This is a LIFO scheme. Data items are inserted onto (pushed) and removed from (popped) the top of the stack. Operations Constructor. Creates an empty stack. Copy constructor....
n JAVA, students will create a linked list structure that will be used to support a role playing game. The linked list will represent the main character inventory. The setting is a main character archeologist that is traveling around the jungle in search of an ancient tomb. The user can add items in inventory by priority as they travel around (pickup, buy, find), drop items when their bag is full, and use items (eat, spend, use), view their inventory as...
