(In psychology, reaction formation occurs when an individual consider himself/herself is in right way and express own feelings to others as his/her perception is socially acceptable, if fact which is unacceptable in the society. Here, Jane is showing that she has a right to remarry her husband which is actually not legally acceptable by the society.)

(In psychology, displacement is when an individual felt negative way or thought that current situation is dangerious and express his/her angerness by doing something else. Here, Cheryl dismembers her favorate doll to show her dislike to her new brother or show her jealously because of her new brother.
3. Denial - A. Although she never married, Jaqueline became a skilled and well-known artist. (In psychology, denial means to overcome or to avoided something by denying something. Here, Jaqueline avoided married then became a well-known artist.)
4. Rationalization - D. John thought that almost everyone but himself was cheating on the psychology exam. (Rationalization means even though an individual knows that it is wrong to do but still go on because he/she has a good reason to get excuse for that.
