Choice 1: Celebrating Life History
In the book and lecture, we learned about how all people go through certain life stages and periods. The timing of these events is largely biological, but every culture celebrates when someone moves from one period to another. This is called a rite of passage.
Some rites of passage occur when someone is born. Other notable transitions include when someone becomes an adolescent or when someone becomes an adult. While rites of passage often celebrate a certain biological milestone, oftentimes the date of the rite is more symbolic than precise. Rites of passage can be a celebration, a stressful ordeal, or a combination of the two!

Answer each part of the question.
The initial post should be at least 200 words
What is one rite of passage that you witnessed or were a part of?
The time was when my nephew was born. My sister was married for 8 years and she was not having a child. But after 8 years she was blessed with a baby boy and the moment was the best moment in my life so far.
Describe the event in some detail
The reason behind the moment was so special for us that a small child has come to our house. And even one thing is that my sister’s husband and his family were going to leave my sister because she was not having a child and they wanted my sister’s husband to marry some other girl. This would have shattered my sister and his life. But she became a mom at last and he saved my sister. This is also one reason for me.
Which transition between life stages or periods did the rite celebrate?
One of the most important events in my life and my family celebrated that event was when I entered my adulthood. The reason my family started believing in me more as I became an adult and mature. My family was open to me about many things and started treating me like an adult. Many doors were opened for me and I even started to work as part-time to earn some extra cash. This was the best time for me.
How did you feel during this event?
The feeling was great in both the cases when I became an adult and when my nephew was born. The best time of my life I would say.
