Arriving at a consensus during decision making among team members is an important factor in professional industry. The process when utilized at a critical setting creates a complex situation. Getting the consensus of everybody on board is important for smooth and prolonged functioning of the team.

First and foremost issue arising in such a situation is difference of opinion among team members. It could be set right by prioritizing the major objective/goal of the process. Setting a clear goal for team members eliminates unwanted doubts and ambiguity in decision making process, thus bringing the team even if it is large into major groups of a few. Next step would be to open the floor for discussion thus facilitating the team members to open up and open their minds for newer ideas. It also let members tell out their concerns. Next step would be to discuss members' concerns sorting them, and start flow of emerging ideas. Now the team leader has to propose his/her proposal and look for concerns/agreements. The floor to be opened up for further discussion to address concerns, answer questions, refinement of proposed solution. The team would then undergo reservation and then agreements and would finally land up at consensus. Once the consensus is reached it could follow due process and implemented!
