A water tank is divided into two separate sections with a window between them. Section 1 is filled with water that is H2feet high and section 2 is filled H3 feet high. The window is W1 feet wide, H1 feet high and C feet thick. The window is H4 feet above the bottom of the tank. Calculate the magnitude of the force on the window due to section 1. (Note: Neglect the thickness of the window) The magnitude of the force...
A large storage tank, open at the top and filled with water, develops a small hole in its side at a point 16.2 m below the water level. The rate of flow from the leak is found to be 3.00 x 10-3 m3/min. 1 (a) Determine the speed (in m/s) at which the water leaves the hole. m/s (b) Determine the diameter of the hole (in mm). mm () What If? If the hole is 10.0 m above the ground...
Question 25 (1 point) A large storage tank, opened at the top, and filled with water, develops a small hole in its side at a point 15.0 m below the water level. If the rate of flow from the leak is 2.25 x 10-3 m3/min, determine (a) the speed at which water leaves the hole and (b) the diameter of the hole. O (a) 17.2 m/s; (b) 0.167 cm (a) 15.2 m/s; (b) 0.167 cm (a) 12.2 m/s; (b) 0.167...

For the preparation and standardization of NaOH with KHP im supposed to boil water for 1hr and 30 min to remove CO2....the problem is that if I don't boil it for that long and (30 min) b/c of not enough time but I put the water I boiled for 1/2 hr aproximately into a NaOH bottle with a CO2 absorber and stored it there for a few days. I would assume that I would have to boil the water again...but...
