Answer #1
  1. HSV represents Hue, Saturation and Value.
  2. White has an HSV value of H:0-255, S:0-255, V:255. Thus, any saturation value S:0-255 works for white colour as long as V is set to 255. Thus, value (V) is 255
  3. Black has an HSV value of 0-255, 0-255, 0. Thus value(V) is 0.
  4. The dominant description for black and white is the term, value.
  5. The hue and saturation level do not make a difference when the value is at max or min intensity level.

A study was conducted to determine the proportion of people who dream in black and white instead of color. Among 324 people over the age of 55, 72 dream in black and white, and among 296 people under the age of 25, 18 dream in black and white. Use a 0.01 significance level to test the claim that the proportion of people over 55 who dream in black and white is greater than the proportion for those under 25. Complete...
