The interaction is not only the stabilising factor.

Actually in this confirmation the rings with bulky groups are far away from each other which avoids the steric inhibition and thus stabilizes the system. Now the interaction between the R groups stabilizes the bottom part. And the interaction between these groups are called the Weak Dispersion interaction or we say as van der Waals forces of attraction!
