The formation of green colored NiCl2. 6H2O from the closed vial containing dark purple colored Ni(NH3)6Cl2 impacted the proportion, amount of substance in the vial.
There is decrease in the weight of dark purple colored Ni(NH3)6Cl2 , in vial which consequently decreases mole of Ni(NH3)6Cl2 .
Hence, this changes brings significant changes on the proportion of constituents participate in the following reaction-
Ni(NH3)6Cl2 (s) + 6 H2O (g) -------------> NiCl2. 6H2O + 6 NH3 (g)

Have a nice day................
can someone explain this? 4. The starting material, NiCI) 6H O is lime green and the product, Ni(NH>Cl is dark purple. Suppose that over the course of one week, the storage vial was not capped...
