Answer #1

Answer:

Given subnet is 192.168.5.0/16

=> The valid ip address for new host is 5a) 192.168.4.1/16 and the number of hosts is 216

Explanation:

Given subnet is having 16 bit network id and 16 bit host id. So possible number of hosts is 216

And 5b is not answer because network id is 192.169 which is different from given subnet network id (192.168)

And 5c is not answer because 258 is not possible in host id because possible numbers range is 0-255
