1) The chi-square test of homogeneity is applied to a single categorical variable . It is used to compare the distribution of frequency counts across different populations. It is used to determine if the frequency counts are distributed identically across different populations.

Thus, for the first problem the best suited test is 2. Chi square test of homogenous.

2) In this problem, we want to see if the data conforms to normal distribution. In other words, we want to determine whether the normal probability distribution fits the data well.

Therefore, to test this we use 4. Chi square goodness of fit test procedure.

3) Here, we wish to compare that the average effect of the three insecticides is the same. This can be easily done using 1. ANOVA

4) The chi square test of association/independence is used to test if the factors on which the contingency table is based are independent. Therefore, the most appropriate test here is 3. Chi square test of independence
