The beams supporting the new roof will be spaced 2 ft apart and support a roof load of 2,100 lb/f2. The beams can be assumed to be simply supported as shown. (Note: There is a 5 ft overhang at the front of the roof.) For the grade of steel to be used, ơallow-36 ksi and allow-24 ksi.
