Q1 : True

As the customer lies at the end of supply chain and all the customer will only buy the product or the service if he finds value in the same, creation of value is an important aspect of the supply chain process.

Q2 : True

This is true as information about future demand, backorders etc flows upstream while the customer orders fulfillment etc flows downstream

Q3 : True

Supply chain does not only involve sourcing the products from suppliers. It involves the end to end journey of the product right from sourcing the raw materials, making the products and ensuring that they are delivering it to the customers at the right place and time.

Q4 : Procurement

Procurement deals with the end to end process of buying the goods and services from the suppliers of the firm at a right cost and time.

Q5 : Selling

All the activities except selling come under the purview of the supply chain. Selling is a separate activity and is normally undertaken by a dedicated and separate Sales department.

Q6 : Bullwhip

Bullwhip effect is the phenomenon observed where slight demand fluctuations observed at a retail or end customer level is magnified as one moves to higher levels in the upstream that is distributor, wholesaler, manufacturer, and supplier.
