observational learning is about learning from observation of things around you.
Human beings see and observe things from the surrounding and observe them and then try to copy things that they have learned.
The important ideas of albert bandura about the social learning theory are
1. the mediating process occurs between the stimuli and responses.
2. observational learning is the process of learning from the environment.
the basic concepts of bandura are ;
1. Attention which means up to what extent the person notice the behaviour from the exposure.
2. Retention means how much behaviour the person remembers after observation.
3. Reproduction means our ability to perform behaviours that we observed from the surroundings.
4. Motivation means will to perform the observed behaviour as there is always either reward or punishment that will follow that behaviour.
YES, children's who more violent video games and television tend to have more violent behaviours because kids learn things from the surrounding environment. if the kids watch the violent things than after some time of observation he will start developing the same thoughts and ultimately it will effect his or her behaviour. Even the older humans try to copy things from their surroundings but the mind children's is even more sensitive so it will definitely affect them more.
example ; my cousin used to play many violent video games after some time his behaviour also shows many changes he started getting more involved in fights with friends as well as get irritated easily and we controlled his habit of watching and playing video games his behaviour also become calm.
Unit 3 Discussion: Does viewing violence lead to violent behavior? After viewing Bandura's original video from his 1963 study above. answer the following questions: Explain the basic concepts...
