Is the use of logarithms a transform method? Justify your answer.
Does the Laplace transform work for both time invariant and time variant systems? Why?
Please answer these two questions in a clear way.
Logarithm converts multiplication into addition, and division into subtraction. From analysis point of view, dealing with addition and subtraction is much easier as compare to dealing with multiplication and division.
So, yes, logarithms transforms .
Laplace transform only works with LTI (Limear time invariant )system because Laplace transform of output in the LTI system is the multiplication of Laplace transform of input and Laplace transform of impulse response of system, this is due to the property of convolution
And convolution is applicable only to LTI system.
