Answer #1

Arterial blood gas analysis is to determine the acid base level in the body. The components in ABG includes :

pH acid base normal range : 7.35-7.45

Paco2 : 35-45 mEq/L

Hco3 - : 22- 28 mEq / L

1) Metabolic alkalosis: In this interpretation Hco3 : 38

2) Respiratory Acidosis : Paco2 value is 50 mmHg

3) Normal

4) Respiratory alkalosis : pco2 32 MEq/L

5) Metabolic Acidosis : Hco3 18/ MEq L
