(PL3) Draw a data table you will be filling in during the lab. Include all the measurements that will be made in this lab and qualitative observation if needed.
Procedure: Part 1) (1) Obtain copper strip, 5mL of 0.1M copper(II)sulfate, iron strip, 5mL of 0.1M iron(lI)sulfate, lead strip, 5mL of lead(lI)nitrate, zinc strip, 5mL of zinc(II)sulfate and 10mL of potassium nitrate for salt bridge /Zn Write the standard reduction potential for Cu+2/Cu, Fe+2/Fe, Pb+2/Pb, and Zn+2 Cu 라 Fe (2) Saturate 7 filter paper strips in potassium nitrate to be used as salt bridge. (one is for part 2) (3) Make a voltaic cell (2 solutions/strips of your choice) and read the voltmeter List all 6 cell combinations possible. (For example, the first one might be Cu/Cu+2 with Fe/Fe+2 예) (4) Repeat (3) with other galvanic cell until you have the voltage for all 6 combinations. Part 2) (5) Obtain copper strip with 5mL of 1.0M copper (I) sulfate and copper strip for this solution. (6) Make a concentration cell using 5mL of 1.0M (from step 5) with 5mL of 0. 1M copper (lI) sulfate (from part 1). You will also need the salt bridge (one made in step 2). (7) Read the voltmeter CUT HERIE Prelab Questions (PL1) For 6 galvanic cell combinations in part 1, write a chemical equation for each cell in a direction that would be spontaneous and the overall cell potential. how would you go about solving this problem via using equations just looking for the equation order i should go about solving this problem In this experiment you will be using the two half reactions Cu?"/Cu and Zn2 /Zn. The standard electrode potential, E°, for these half reactions is +0.34V and-0.76V respectively, so the Nernst Equation for these half reactions is the following Cu ea)+2e - Cus) E - 0.34V 0.0592V Cu2+] 0.0592V Zn 2 Note that solids by definition...
