Left lung is narrower because of the heart bulging to the left lung and it has two lobes.

Lobes are separated by diagonal sloping fissures ( double folds of pleura that divide the lung into lobes).

Mostly upper and middle lobes.

Anteriorly, the apex of each lung rises approximately 1- 2 cm above the inner third of the clavicle.

The lower border of lung crosses the 6-7 rib at the mid calvicular line.
