Gastrin hormone is a hormone that is peptide in nature and causes the secretion of gastric juice and help in gastric motility.

The hormone is released by the G cells of pancreas and stomach.

The hormone is stimulated by the proteins and amino acids present in the food and inhibited by the somatostanin or negative feedback of HCl already present in the stomach.
