Ans. The testing process of GIS application or Geographic Information System software has its own specific testing process such as :-

1. Complexity :- It is complex but, for different environments and platforms testing is essential.

2. Search Capabilities

GIS testing should be taken seriously as because of any error it costs thousands. The types of GIS testing are :-

1. Filter Testing :- All kinds of filters are applied to test the effectiveness of information stored in a database and ensure the accuracy.

2. Data testing :- The biggest part of an organisation is data so, the largest testing part should be on data.

3. Performance Testing :- After every task performance is tested to ensure whether the work has been done properly or not.

Part 2 :- The unique consideration of GIS testing examples are :- Banking, Insurance, Travel, Transportation, Markets, etc use GIS domain.
