a) In Diethyl ether two CH3 groups are attached to CH2 group and CH2 group is attached to oxygen.

So Two CH3 groups are equivalent and two CH2 groups are equivalent to each other.

Hence correct answer is A=D, B=C

b) As explained above structure is symmetric, So we are going to get two signals in 1H NMR spectrum.

A and D protons at 1.26? (Triplet) , B and C protons at 3.47 ?(Quartet).
