I.SIG refers to the frequency of any medications (eg., TID,QID,OD ,etc.,)

Here the patient has been ordered puffs every 4 to 6 hours and as per need upon shortness of breath

II.Given

Albuterol :90mcg/puff (1puff=90mcg)

So 2 puff=?mcg

cross multiply and divide

=90×2÷1

=180mcg/2 puff

So 1 to 2 puff =90 to 180mcg (1 dose)

If the dose is for every 4 hours ,so in a day 24÷4 =6 times has to be given

Therefore when 1 dose=90_180mcg

So 6 dose=??mcg

=540(6×90) to 1080mcg (6×180)

The total dose in a day is 549mcg to 1080mcg

When 1 puff=90mcg
