2HCl + Mg   ----> H2 + MgCl2    ; DHavg = -478 kj/mol

No of mol of Mg reacted = 4.00 ml

from the equation, 1 mol Mg gives 478 kj energy.

Hence, Amount of heat released(q) = 4*478 = 1912 kj
