Answer #1

Questions was based on determination of vitamin C in fruit juice samples.

1.It is necessary to standardize a indophenol solution because intensely colored compound in experiment is readily reduced, and the purity of the compound cannot be obtained again easily. In a general experiment, the concentration of an indolphenol is determined with titration of a known concentration of vitamin C solution.

2. It is necessary to titrate blank samples because

(a) we have to ensure that there must be no any substance present in solvent which may react with titrant.

(b)we can also estimate the amount of titrant that may react with solvent.

(c) We can estimate the chance of error at the time of actual titration.

3. Vitamin C content be underestimated in the case of a heat processed juice sample because this heat degrades the vitamin C in system.

There is best possible solution of your question. If you satisfied(or not) then comment.

thank you

You then measure 0.1993 g of KHP (204.22 g/mol) and place it in a clean, dry 100-mL beaker, and then dissolve the KHP in about 25 mL of water and add a couple of drops of phenolphthalein indicator. You titrate this with your NaOH(aq) solution and find that the...

please can you answer questions part one Vitamin C can be measured using a technique called titration. Because vitamin C is easily oxidized, we can use this chemical reactivity to detect it in solution. If we react vitamin C with iodine, the vitamin C is oxidized and the iodine is reduced.
