The census are tracked down to understand the prevalence of the lead poisoning among children. In wealthy neighbourhood, between 2005-2015, 10 percent of all the small children were tested and it was found to be increased in number than the previous decades. In 2015, 5400 children were tested positive for lead poisoning with 5micrograms per decilitre or higher and 800 children were tested highly positive. In wealthy neighbourhood, there were 2 in 10 children were tested.
Whereas in poor neighbourhood, the number of children tested for lead poisoning is higher due to poor housing conditions or old lead pipes for usage. Compared to the wealthy neighbourhood, the poor neighbourhood has a ratio of 5 in 10 children are tested positive for lead poisoning. So, it is higher in poor neighbourhood.
