Answer #1

In a report, from the Home menu, select Print.

  • Print (PDF printing enabled): From the drop-down list, select either Whole report or Portion displayed only to choose to print either the entire report or only the portion of your report displayed in your browser.
  • Scaling: Adjust the amount of the report's content (and thus, the size of the font) that prints on a page from the following scaling options:
  • Adjust font to __ % of original size: Specify the font size of text displayed on the report as a percentage of its original size. The default to 100%.
  • Fit to page (PDF printing disabled): Specify whether the page is adjusted to fit All columns, All Rows, or both.
  • Fit to __ page(s) wide by __ tall (PDF printing enabled): Specify the page dimensions in which to fit the report contents. The default is 1 page wide by 1 page tall.
  • Orientation: Determine whether to print reports in either Portrait or Landscape format. The default is Portrait.
  • Print cover page (PDF printing enabled): Determine whether to print a cover page with the report, and select one of the following to determine which details are printed:
    • With Filter Details: Print the filter details of the report on a separate page. The filter details are placed before the contents of the report.
    • With Report Details: Print the report details of the report on a separate page. The report details are placed before the contents of the report.
    • Cover page location: Determine whether the cover page is placed before or after the report.
    • Print cover page with filter details (PDF printing disabled): Determine whether to print the filter details of a report on a separate page. The filter details are placed before the contents of the report. This check box is cleared by default.
    • Page Header and Footer: Specify the page header and footer to be displayed on all your reports. Click Edit Custom Settings to open the Header/Footer Editor. You can specify the text to print in the left, center, and right portions of the page's header and footer. Type static text, or use the Insert Auto-text drop-down list at the top of the page to select and insert auto-text. For more information about auto-text, see Specifying the header and footer for a report.
    • Report Header (PDF printing enabled): Specify the text to print in the report header. Click Edit Custom Settings to open the Report Header Editor. You can type static text in the Header field, or use the Insert Auto-text drop-down list at the top of the page to select and insert auto-text. For more information about auto-text, see Specifying the header and footer for a report.
  • Select Show advanced options to access the following options:
    • Page size: Select the paper size on which to print a report. The default is Letter 8.5" x 11".
    • Margins (Inches): Set the left, right, top, and bottom margins. For reports to print according to these settings, these margin settings and the margin settings in the browser's File > Page Setup option must match. The default value for each margin is 0.75 inches.
    • Maximum header size (Inches): Set the size at which the report header can be overwritten. If the header is larger than its maximum size and the report must use the space to display its content, the header is cut off by the report content. If the report does not use the space, the entire header is displayed, regardless of size. The default header size is 5.0 inches.
    • Maximum footer size (Inches): Set the size at which the report footer can be overwritten. If the footer is larger than its maximum size and the report must use the space to display its content, the footer is cut off by the report content. If the report does not use the space, the entire footer is displayed, regardless of size. The default footer size is 5.0 inches
    • Embed fonts (PDF printing enabled): Determine whether to use the original fonts chosen by the report designer to display and print the PDF, even on machines that do not have those fonts installed. This ensures the portability of the PDF. This check box is cleared by default.
    • Do not prompt me again: Determine whether you want to be prompted with the Print Options dialog box the next time that you want to print. Clear this check box to save the current settings and not be prompted to answer them again.

  • Click Show Printable Version to see a preview of the report before printing.
