Answer #1

the degree of parsimony would be included in an analysis of PCN Model

Models with relatively few parameters (and relatively many degrees of freedom) are sometimes said to be high in parsimony, or simplicity. Models with many parameters (and few degrees of freedom) are said to be complex, or lacking in parsimony. This utilization of the terms, straightforwardness and unpredictability, does not generally fit in with regular use. For instance, the immersed model would be called complex while a model with an intricate example of straight conditions however with exceptionally obliged parameter esteems would be called straightforward.

While one can ask into the reason for leaning toward basic, miserly models (e.g., Mulaik, et al., 1989), there does not have all the earmarks of being any contradiction that closefisted models are desirable over complex ones. With regards to parameters, every single other thing being equivalent, toning it down would be ideal. In the meantime, well fitting models are desirable over ineffectively fitting ones. Many fit measures speak to an endeavor to adjust these two clashing goals—straightforwardness and integrity of fit.
