Answer #1

Rules for writing nomenclature of alkene and alkyne

1.find the longest chain such that it includes all possible double and triple bonds present in the compound

2.number the carbons present in the chain such that sum of the numbers at which substituent, double bond and triple bond are present, is lowest

3.write the name of substituent name first with its carbon number

4. then write carbon name for the longest chain, then number at which double bond is present followed by "en" (double bond is ene),then number at which triple bond followed by "yne"

how to make condensed structure

carbon is present at the end of the chains and places where direction of structure changes, hydrogen is not mentioned in condensed structure

for double bond,we use 2 lines

for triple bonds we use 3 lines

CH3 -CEC-CHE CH3 CH₂O name 3 mothyl hept-2-en-Syne. Condensed structure
