Do the elastic properties, such as Young’s modulus, change with the magnetic field applied on a magnetostrictive material?
Young's Modulus
In case of magnetostrictive material (ferromagnetic) strain is expansion or contraction of material in response of stress that is applied magnetic field. This strain increases on increasing the intensity of applied magnetic field. Hence Young modulus of magnetostrictive materials are changed by changing the external magnetic field.
I will be glad to see your comment if you have any query.

An alloy of aluminium has a Young’s modulus of 70 GPa , elastic limit of 0.004 and ultimate tensile strength of 110 MPa . a) Sketch a stress-strain graph for both of these alloys, plotting them on the same graph b) Label significant positions on the graphs c) Compare and contrast the mechanical properties of...
8. Abductin, an elastic protein found in the ligaments of scallops, has a Young’s modulus of 4.00 MPa. The inner hinge ligament has a cross-sectional area of 0.780 mm2 and a relaxed length of 1.00 mm. When the muscles in the shell relax, the shell opens. This increases efficiency as the muscles do not need to exert any force to open the shell, only to close it. If the muscles must exert a force of 1.96 N to keep the...

A cubic block of side lengths h and mass density p rests on a horizontal flat rigid plate, as shown. Assuming that the cube is isotropic and linearly elastic, whose material properties are characterized by the Young's modulus (E) and Poisson's ratio (v), determined the strain distribution in the cube due to the gravity field. For what value(s) of the Poisson's ration the cube will not change its lateral dimensions? gravity A cubic block of side lengths h and mass...

Lenz's law states that an induced magnetic field in a conductor Opposes the change in flux through the conductor. Opposes the applied magnetic field. Induces a matching electric field that causes a current. Opposes the applied flux through the conductor.
Question: Create Young’s modulus-melting point (E-Tm) chart (level 2) for metals and alloys. Use ‘guideline’ function to determine which slope among 0.5, 1 and 2 in the E-Tm chart best describes the dependence between E and Tm. Justify this dependence from the origin of these two properties. I had already drawn the picture. Could you explain the reason why Yong's modulus and melting point have a linear relationship? Justify this dependence from the origin of these two properties.!!!! - 0...
