Li(g)+ IE1 --------------> Li^+ (g) + e^-

2nd Ionization energy: The amount of energy is released when an electron removed from uni positive ion atom is called ionization energy.

Li^+(g) + IE2-----------> Li^2+ (g) + e^-

3rd ionization energy:The amount of energy is required remove electron from di positive ions is called 3rd ionization energy.

    Li^2+(g) + IE3 ------------> Li^3+ (g)+ e^-
