Answer #1

A)

Atomic number of Cr = 24

So, number of proton = 24

Use:

Charge = number of proton - number of electron

+3 = 24 - number of electron

number of electron = 21

Answer: 24, 21

B)

Atomic number of O = 8

So, number of proton = 8

Use:

Charge = number of proton - number of electron

-2 = 8 - number of electron

number of electron = 10

Answer: 8, 10

C)

Atomic number of Cl = 17

So, number of proton = 17

Use:

Charge = number of proton - number of electron

-1 = 17 - number of electron

number of electron = 18

Answer: 17, 18

D)

Atomic number of Mn = 25

So, number of proton = 25

Use:

Charge = number of proton - number of electron

+2 = 25 - number of electron
