Answer #1

Probability of event A occurring given that B has all ready occured is 0.61 i.e p(A|B) = 0.61

Probability of both events occurring is 0.5

P(A\capB) = 0.5

We know that

P(A|B) = p(A\capB) / p(B)

0.61 = 0.5/p(B)

P(B) = 0.5/0.61

p(B) = 0.8197

P(B) = 0.820 (round three decimal)

The probability of event B occurring is 0.820.

Hence option (4) is correct.
