Explanation- Fibroblasts work in the initiation and proliferation phase of the wound healing process.

They are initially involved in breaking down the fibrin clot and later continuously secrete the substances that form the extracellular matrix i.e ground substance proteins. They along with myofibroblast are involved in contraction of wound.
