Please assist me

  1. Briefly trace and discuss the flow of blood in the human kidney.
  2. Briefly identify the structure and trace the development of urine production in the human kidney.
  3. View the anatomical models Figure 40.2 and Figure 40.6 (a) from your Laboratory Manual and identify the structures that are described by the following abbreviated statements. Post your brief responses in the threaded Discussion Area below:
  4. Storage of urine after leaving the kidney
  5. Function of the urethra
  6. Location of the juxtaglomerular apparatus (JGA)
  7. Component/function of the JGA
  8. View the photomicrograph slide Figure 40.7 from your Laboratory Manual and identify the microscopic structures indicated by a leader line, number, or bracket. In the threaded Discussion Area below, briefly describe the function of:
  9. Figure 40.7 proximal convoluted tubule
  10. Figure 40.7 distal convoluted tubule

Answer #1

Flow of blood in human kidney

Renal artery, segmental artery,interlobar artery,arcuate artery,interlocutor artery , afferent arteriole, efferent arteriole, peritubular capillaries,arcuate vein,interlobar vein,renal vein

Urine production

Afferent arteriole, glomerular flitrate, proximal convoluted tubule, loop of henle , distal convoluted tubule, collecting duct, pyramids, pelvis, urethra

Storage of urine after leaving the kidney urinary bladder

Function of Peter is unidirectional flow of urine from kidney to urinary bladder

Location of juxtaposed globular apparatus is formed by the afferent arteriole of glomerulus and distal convoluted tubule

It is located near the vascular pole of glomerulus in the cortex of the kidney

It's function is to maintain the blood pressure and glomerulus filtration rate

Functions

1. Proximal convoluted tubule helps in the reabsorption of bicarbonate and excretion of hydrogen ions to maintain pH of urine and also excess creatinine

Distal convoluted tubule- helps in reabsorption of Ca,Na,Cl and excreted hydrogen ions and reabsorbs bicarbonate

Glomerulus capillary space - it composed of glomerulus capillaries lined by fenestrated endothelium which allow the movement of large molecules

The pressure in the capillaries is very high which helps in producing the flitrate
