Some recipes have a beer or cola added to other ingredients as the food is heated in a pot or pan on a
stovetop. These recipes generally recommend that the carbonated beverage be allowed to go flat
BEFORE adding to the other hot ingredients. Based on the solubility of gases, explain (a) why
carbonated beverages go flat on standing after they are opened, and (b) why allowing them to do so
before adding them to a hot pan would generally be a good idea.

Answer

(a) When the carbonated beverages opened, it bubbles or fizzes to indicate that the carbondioxide is slowly evaporating or dissipating. Once pressure is reduced, carbondioxide is released from the solution in the form of small bubbles, making the drink froth or fizz regardless of temprature.

When the drink is opened to air, the temprature raises and as a result the loss of carbondioxide increases.Increased temprature causes increased kinetic energy. Increased kinetic energy cause more motion in molecules and intermolecular bond breaking. Henry's Law states that: The solubility of a gas in a liquid is directly proportional to the pressure of that gas above the surface of the solution.so when a carbonated beverage is opened to air it gets flat on escaping the gas from the solution.

(b) The beer or other drinks contains added sugar, caramel, artificial ingrediants etc. with water. If the solution which contains carbondioxide in high level poured into a hot pan, it will be a sudden reaction in which all the water in the cola or beer will gets evaporated and only the sugar and other ingrediants will remain. This could affect the recipie or the taste of the food.

As we know heating of pressured beverage can even get explode.so it is recomand to add the carbonated beverage only after it gets flat.

Please read the article and answer about questions. You and the Law Business and law are inseparable. For B-Money, the two predictably merged when he was negotiat- ing a deal for his tracks. At other times, the merger is unpredictable, like when your business faces an unexpected auto accident, product recall, or government regulation change. In either type of situation, when business owners know the law, they can better protect themselves and sometimes even avoid the problems completely. This chapter...
