Date Page: - (8 HS KO4 = KHCO HA 04 motor mass of kuP = C8H5 Koy = 2x0 x 5X1 + 39 + 16X4 = 96 +5+39 + 64 = 204 g/mol Correct[all the reactants and products of this neutralization reaction are colorless, a few drops of an indicator (phenolphthalein) were added to each KHP sample to be titrated. Phenolphthalein is colorless in acidic solution, but turns red in basic solution.]

[ Originally phenolphthalein is colourless. It turns pink in basic solutions and remains colurless in acidic solution] THANKS

    1. A solution of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) was standardized against potassium hydrogen phthalate (KHP). A known mass of KHP was titrated with the NaOH solution until a light pink color appeared using phenolpthalein indicator. Using the volume of NaOH required to neutralize KHP and the number of moles of KHP titrated, the concentration of the NaOH solution was calculated. For the preparation and standardization of NaOH with KHP im supposed to boil water for 1hr and 30 min to remove CO2....the problem is that if I don't boil it for that long and (30 min) b/c of not enough time but I put the water I boiled for 1/2 hr aproximately into a NaOH bottle with a CO2 absorber and stored it there for a few days. I would assume that I would have to boil the water again...but...
