Answer #1

Ques 1:

The factor which generates genetic variation in the genome are following : *meiosis during crossing over , *mutation, * selection.

The genetic variation can both be detrimental as well as beneficial.

Detrimental: The mutation at 6th position chain of beta globin chain leads to reduce the binding capacity of oxygen by haemoglobin. When such mutation is found in homozygous condition can cause death of a person.

Beneficial : the same mutation protect the person from malaria I malarial region. Because in heterozygous condition, the RBC are in sickle cell shaped which do not allow psthogen for completing its life cycle.

Que2:

The genetic frequency can be changed by following frequency:

* Mutation: the presence of mutation change the sequence of gene.

* migration: The migrated individual when mate with the local people enhance the variations in a population.

* Genetic drift: When there is random fixation of one allele occur. It cause homozygous population for one gene.
