Concerning my prior question with p toluic acid...where then did the caffeine go? we did use NaOH to attempt to recrystalize the caffeine with no success. Also the NaOH was used to extract the toluic acid and then crystalized with HCL. But upon adding NaOH to aqueous HCL and Caffeine, nothing happend.

I am not aww not aware of purer Questions but from your present question I got silea that you are Penyorning sepration of TolYour Caffeine is actually an Organic Layer (whatwe organic solent you have used Cocm) ccly, etc). So Thats why addition of Nplease do ask any query or doubt regarding this in comment section :)
