Can running 5 miles on a vegan diet and low calorie intake of 1700 calories cause a male 150 lb 6 ft patient to be dehydrated, have respiratory alkalosis and metabloic alkalosis ? He has complaints of exhaustion. High CK levels, low LDH levels with chloride, potassium and sodium in his urine. His urine is alkaline and SG of 1.000

Studies shows that plant-based diets can be less calorie dense than their omnivorous counterparts .Eating too few calories lessen the impact of hard work outs and slow metabolism. For the normal functioning of our system, our acid and alkali should be in equilibrium with each other. Diet caused no significant difference in venous blood photo. Since blood ph is strictly regulated, it would be reasonable to also measure urine pH to see if acid load of the body has changed.
