1) straight line method

depreciation per year = cost - residual value / useful lufe

= 22,000 - 1,000 / 5

= 4,200 per year

2) units of production method

depreciation rate = cost - residual value / productive life

= 22,000 - 1,000 / 10,000

= 2.1 pr hour

depreciation for year 3 = 2,150 x 2.1 = 4,515

3) double decline balance method

depreciatio rate = 100 / useful life x 2

= 100 / 5 x 2
= 40%

depreciation for year 1 = 22,000 x 40% = 8,800

depreciation for year 2 = 13,200 x 40% = 5,280

depreciation for year 3 = 7,920 x 40% = 3,168
