In Yahtzee, 5 standard dice are rolled up to three times on a given turn. A player can choose to save anywhere from 0 - 5 of the dice between rolls 1 and 2 and between rolls 2 and 3, meaning that the player can set aside certain dice before rolling the remaining dice if they choose to do so. Suppose that a given player does not take advantage of saving die rolls and instead rolls all 5 dice each of the 3 rolls. What is the probability that the player will have at most 2 faces the same on the first roll, exactly 3 or exactly 4 faces the same of the second die roll, and a Yahtzee (all 5 faces the same) on the third die roll?

In the game of Yahtzee®, players roll five dice simultaneously to try to make certain combinations. In a single turn, a player may roll up to three total times. On the first roll, the player rolls all five dice. On subsequent rolls, the player may choose to roll any number of the five dice ("keeping" dice by leaving selected unrolled dice on the table). If a player's first roll results in exactly three 5's (e.g., 2-5-5-3-5), what is the probability...

Problem 1 (10 points). If two fair dice are rolled 10 times, what is the probability of at least one 6 (on either die) in exactly five of these 10 rolls? (Hint: For each roll, two dice are rolled at the same time. It is considered as the success if at least one of two dice is 6 and as the failure if neither of dice is 6.]

Write a Python (version 3.5.2) program that simulates how often certain hands appear in Yahtzee. In Yahtzee, you roll five dice and then use those dice to make certain combinations. For example, the Yahtzee combination is formed by all five dice having the same value. A large straight occurs when all of the dice are in consecutive order (e.g., 1,2,3,4,5 or 2,3,4,5,6). If you haven’t played Yahtzee, you can find out more from various online sources such as Wikipedia. Once...

Complete each problem separately and perform in python. 1. Create a script that will roll five dice and print out their values. Allow the user to roll the dice three times. Prompt them to hit enter to roll. Ex: Hit enter to roll 1,4,3,6,6 Hit enter to roll 3,5,1,2,1 Hit enter to roll 4,3,4,2,6 2. Write a script that will roll five dice (just one time). The user's score will be the sum of the values on the dice. Print...

The Dice game of "Pig" can be played with the following rules. 1. Roll two six-sided dice. Add the face values together. 2. Choose whether to roll the dice again or pass the dice to your opponent. 3. If you pass, then you get to bank any points earned on your turn. Those points become permanent. If you roll again, then add your result to your previous score, but you run the risk of losing all points earned since your...

Courtney, Nick and Jarrod are playing special version of Monopoly. Because the three of them are all scoundrels, they are all currently in Jail. In Monopoly, players roll two 6-sided dice on their turn. In their version of Monopoly, however, to get out of Jail, a player must roll doubles (the two dice have the same outcome) and must keep re-rolling the dice until they get doubles during their first turn in Jail. As soon as a player rolls doubles,...
